Save the date – Boogie Woogie Wednesday, June 12 – a rare event – a visiting artist who’s had an incredible career in blues & boogie woogie, as a musician, a historian, and an educator, NAT DOVE. He’s performed and recorded with Robert Cray, George “Harmonica” Smith, Freddie King, Big Mama Thornton, T-Bone Walker, Pee Wee Crayton, Louis Meyers, Big Joe Turner and many more. He still performs and lectures all over the world, and teaches ethnomusicology at Cal State University Bakersfield. This year, he won the Blues Foundation “Keeping The Blues Alive” award. His bio and his discography are amazing. He’ll stop in Marshall on June 12 on his way to his hometown – Nat is the director of the Bryan Texas Blues Festival. We’re very excited to meet Nat Dove.
