“BORN IN MARSHALL, LOVED AROUND THE WORLD” – highlights from 2013 concerts in Marshall featuring international stars and hometown favorites:

This video shows much of the music we’re enjoying here now, and the history that precedes it. It’s called “A TOWN FULL OF MUSIC”:

This 29-minute video features highlights from the Boogie Woogie Homecoming Concert starring Omar Sharriff in June 2010.

See several music videos on the Omar Videos page and on the Boogie Woogie Wednesday page and on our youtube channel under nancycanson.

From the Gospel & Boogie Woogie Jubilee. Joseph Parrish, 88-year-old Gospel vocalist.

This is amazing – fantastic music – 3 months in 5 minutes – WATCH THIS!

Second Saturdays in Marshall are stupendous! Watch this:

Robin Beach Black entertains often in Marshall with her big blues/rock/soul/pop dance band. It was delightful to see her on a Wednesday night with her acoustic trio – SUITE HARMONY.

Rafael Espinoza & his band put on a great show on the Telegraph Stage in May, 2012. They were joined by the Hubbard Family – what a night!

This remarkable, historic performance was presented by Jim Davis at a fundraiser at the Davis Farm in Marshall in April, 2012. It stars the legendary Steve Cropper & Donald “Duck” Dunn, who died two weeks after this final US performance – RIP.

The amazing John Tennison is a physician and the music historian who brought us the history of Boogie Woogie, and who located Omar Sharriff in California. He is also astounding on boogie woogie piano. He performed at the Tribute to Omar, March 24, 2012 –

Anthony G. Parrish & Friends with vocalist LaDonna Gaut had everyone dancing at the Tribute to Omar benefit concert held at Charlie’s Backyard Bar on March 24, 2012.

Charlie’s Backyard Bar is an amazing new music venue in Marshall, thanks to Rudy & Rachel Zachry. Here’s AJ & The Two-Tone Blues Band at Charlie’s.

Omar’s Band of Brothers – These wonderful Marshall musicians, who performed in Omar’s backup band, now carry the torch, in their own great groove – jamming blues, jazz & soul. They are fantastic.

This video, made in April, 2011, is a look back at some of the magic in Marshall from Oct. 2010 through April, 2011. Hope you like it:
